But before we create our first virtual server, we need to “configure” Virtualmin first – i.e. select what functionality and features we want our Virtual Servers to have. We do this by creating custom server templates and custom account plans.

For example, we may want to create a custom server-template that runs the PostgreSQL database server only (without Apache, without MySQL, etc) and another custom template that has everything – Apache, POP3, Postfix, MySQL, etc.

We may want to create different “Account Plans” that set different limits to different virtual servers.
